General

What is La Salle Retreat Center?
La Salle Retreat Center has been home to the Christian Brothers since 1886, offering a peaceful setting for day and overnight events. The facility features a variety of spaces to accommodate groups of any size, including meeting rooms, dining rooms, a gymnasium, a conference room, outdoor grottos, shrines, and an on-site chapel. Amenities available for reservations year-round include AV equipment, WIFI, on-site chef and staff, and meals for any size group, including special dietary requests.

Where are you located?

We’re located at 2101 Rue De LaSalle Drive, Wildwood, Missouri, on 180 acres of beautiful wooded grounds, just southwest of St. Louis.

How do I book a retreat or a stay?

How far in advance should I book?
For larger groups over 35 guests, popular weekends in the fall and spring fill quickly. It is advisable to book 6–8 months in advance when possible. Weekdays and summer dates may be available on shorter notice.

What are your typical check-in/check-out times?
We offer flexibility with times based on availability and the needs of the group.

What types of rooms and sleeping arrangements do you offer?
We offer private rooms as well as some shared accommodations. Room configurations and capacities can be found on our Our Facilities page.

Are linens, towels, and toiletries provided?
Yes—linens, towels and soap are provided.

Do you have meeting spaces and audiovisual equipment?
Absolutely—we have meeting rooms of various sizes, a chapel, and outdoor areas. AV equipment (projector, screen, sound system) is available upon request—please ask in advance.

Do you have a Community Garden?
The Community Garden at La Salle Retreat Center offers in-ground plots measuring 40 x 3 feet on a fenced, peaceful property. The garden provides water, compost, tools, and wood chips. To participate, gardeners are expected to maintain their own plots and contribute to the general upkeep of the garden. For registration details and the application, please visit the Events page.

Rates & Payments

How are rates determined?
Rates are based on meal plans and the length of the stay. We provide daily and overnight rates.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit/debit cards, checks, and electronic bank transfers. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to confirm group reservations—specifics are provided with your quote.

Meals & Food Service

Do you provide meals?
Yes—we offer comprehensive meal service with two full-time chefs. We can accommodate most dietary needs with prior notice (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies).

Can groups bring their own food?
Groups reserving the East Wing have the option to prepare their own food.

Policies & Safety

What are your health and safety policies?
We maintain safety and cleanliness standards for all guests. For group programs, we provide emergency procedures and staff contacts.

Do you allow pets?
Pets are generally not allowed, with limited exceptions for service animals. Please contact us beforehand.

Events & Programs

Can La Salle host weddings, conferences, or non-religious events?
We host a variety of events including retreats, conferences, and faith-centered gatherings. For weddings and large private events, please inquire—availability and policies vary.

Do you offer private/self guided retreats?
At this time, we do not host private/self guided retreats. Although, individuals are welcome to walk and tour our grounds during business hours. An audio tour of our grounds including the history of our beautiful property is available on our website under Our Facilities and Services. Bring your own phone and headphones to La Salle and start the tour at the door of the main entrance.

How can I volunteer at La Salle?
We rely on volunteers for maintenance, hospitality, gardening, and event support. Email mcook@lasalleretreat.org for opportunities and details.

How can I support La Salle?
Donations sustain our mission. You can give on our website, by mail, or during a visit. La Salle is a 501(c)(3) corporation.
